A manufacturer of a solid wood process for walls and structural floors, SACBA (Development and Construction Company of Agricultural Buildings), an SME located in France's Aquitaine region, called upon Synerbois, which includes the FCBA (French Technology Institute for Forestry, Cellulose, Wood Construction and Furniture) and the CSTB (Scientific and Technical Center for Building) to characterize the performance of its wood process, called Bosco CLT, to be used in high rise buildings. The preliminary study conducted by Synerbois enabled SACBA to obtain a Type A ATEx (Technical Experimentation Assessment) in the space of just a few months. This approval supports the development of the Bosco CLT construction process for the apartment and office building market.
